Working with our pharmacy services provider partner Medichem we specialise in incorporating pharmacies within exisiting medical centres. MGI have assisted the Medichem Group of Pharmacies in incorporating pharmacies into five medical centres in Yorkshire. This new portfolio is now worth in excess of £10 million between them and thier GP partners.

Incorporating a pharmacy
within your doctors surgery

We fund the entire project from planning to completion and can purchase exisiting contracts if necessary. The GP’s need not contribute any capital but will be awarded portion of the net profits. This could be between £40,000 – £100,000 per annum assuming a minimum list of 7000 patients. We also support Medichem’s online pharmacy service for use within GP practices where a new contract cannot be gained.

SITE SELECTION

The location of a profitable pharmacy is extremely important. MGI are experts in choosing the right location where pharmacy contracts can be awarded or existing contracts can be purchased. In the past MGI have successfully identified GP practices that matched Medichems values of excellent patient care innovation and a desire to grow.We are pleased to announce all these have turned into profitable long term relationships with many of the surgeries further collaborating with Medichem over e-health and their FI-STAR project.

APPRAISAL OF OTHER HEALTHCARE TENANTS

MANAGEMENT OF THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW BUILD/EXTENSION

In most cases a Pharmacy of Health centre will need to be constructed in order to meet the needs of the patients. MGI can manage this whole process in a way that takes the stress away from the surgery allowing them to continue to function at their optimum level, even whilst works commence. The construction programme can be strategically planned so that any disruptive works are undertaken outside the times the practice is operational.

MARKET APPRAISAL & STRATEGY PLANNING

MGI provide Medichem with a full analysis on the market potential at each Health Centre site including advice on any premiums or rent they may be subject to. MGI also continue to provide Medichem with a marketing strategy to continue to help grow this profitable group as well as provide assistance in winning tenders for existing pharmacy contracts in Health Centres.
